Faust

At just 18 years old, Faust is already carving out a distinct identity from El Segundo, California, with the wider Beach Cities of Los Angeles shaping the backdrop of his artistry. His biggest accomplishment so far is an unreleased concept album that already feels like a defining statement for where he is headed. There is a sense that Faust is not simply making songs to fill space, but building a world around his sound, one rooted in atmosphere, emotion, and a strong personal vision.

Music first clicked for him in the 4th grade after hearing Young Thug following a birthday party, a moment that opened something deeper than casual interest. Because he experiences chromesthesia, the ability to see color while listening to music, songs have always felt especially vivid and immersive. That perspective helps explain why his influences are so layered and cinematic, drawing from artists like Kanye West, Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys, and Mike Dean. Each of those artists brings a different kind of scale, mood, and texture, and faustsongs seems inspired by all of it in a way that feels personal rather than borrowed.

Looking ahead, Faust sees himself standing for something that matters to him artistically, and that clarity may be the most important part of his path. One of the biggest struggles he has faced has been people telling him to make his sound “cleaner” or more appealing to a wider audience, but that pressure has only made his vision sharper. Instead of sanding down what makes him unique, he seems committed to leaning further into it. In a time when so many artists are pushed to chase trends, faustsongs is building his name by trusting the colors, feelings, and ideas that make his music his own.
