Highwayclassics
Hailing from the storied borough of Brooklyn and now rooted deep in the creative pulse of Austin, Texas, Highwayclassics is carving out a lane of his own in the hip-hop landscape. His journey into music wasn’t born in studios or record labels, but through the speakers of his home, soaking in culture-defining platforms like 106 & Park. The energy, the raw emotion, and the connection he felt through the radio sparked a lifelong passion.
“I’d be locked in, just watching and listening. I knew then music was more than sound — it was feeling,” he says.
That emotional thread runs deep in his latest release — a heartfelt tribute to his late dog, Bandit. After facing the heartbreaking decision to euthanize Bandit due to severe seizures, Highwayclassics was gifted one final car ride with his loyal companion. The track captures the weight of loss, the beauty of memory, and the healing power of music. “That ride meant everything. I had to put that in the music,” he shares.
Beyond the mic, Highwayclassics is making serious moves. He’s established his own imprint, 100GRAND, through none other than ROCNATION. It's a major accomplishment, but for him, it’s just the beginning.
Looking ahead, his mission is clear: build the brand, uplift his team, and grow within the thriving Austin scene. “I want to help other artists win too. That’s how we build a legacy.”
