Loots: Finding Light Through Lyrics and Fortnite
For Loots, music isn’t just an art—it’s a lifeline.
Born in Boynton Beach, Florida, and raised in the rugged beauty of Colorado, the 29-year-old artist and content creator has spent a lifetime chasing meaning through melodies, movement, and moments of stillness in front of a screen. Now based in Las Vegas, Loots is all-in on a creative journey that blends music, streaming, and storytelling into something uniquely his own.
“I fell in love with music before I even knew what it was,” he says. “I was that kid sneaking over to play the neighbor’s piano, trying to figure out songs from memory. That obsession never left me.”
Loots' musical journey began with a Yamaha keyboard and the kind of raw passion that only a child with something to prove can bring. Inspired by his older brother’s rap sessions and the alternative sounds of Coldplay, he developed an intuitive ear and began crafting his own tracks. But the road wasn’t always smooth.
While studying audio engineering at Full Sail University, Loots found himself struggling—not just with school, but with a growing disconnect between the life he was building and the one he truly wanted. “I felt like I was living someone else’s dream,” he reflects. “I wanted to be an artist. But I also wanted my dad’s approval, and engineering seemed like the ‘safe’ choice.”
That dissonance came to a head when a shoulder injury ended his rock climbing—a passion that had kept him grounded. Depression followed, but so did an unexpected savior: Fortnite.
“When I couldn’t climb, I turned to gaming. Fortnite wasn’t just a distraction—it was a lifeline,” Loots explains. “It gave me a sense of community, of purpose. It helped me rediscover my passion for creating.”
His latest single, “Fortnite Get Down,” is a tribute to that chapter of his life. Part anthem, part autobiography, the track captures how a battle royale game helped him battle his own demons—and come out stronger.
Loots has written over 200 songs, many still unreleased, each one a piece of his journey through doubt, recovery, and self-discovery. His growing YouTube channel and streaming community stand as proof of his commitment to building something real—something that reflects who he is and what he stands for.
“I’ve lived a lot of life for 29,” he says. “But no matter what I’ve been through—school, depression, working construction—I’ve kept creating. I’m finally starting to believe in my own voice.”
Looking ahead, Loots sees a future filled with music, streaming, and connection. He wants to be more than an entertainer—he wants to be a reminder. “You can lose your way and still come back. Your path doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. As long as it’s real to you, that’s enough.”
In a world that often demands clarity, Loots offers something rarer: authenticity. Whether through a lyric, a livestream, or a late-night upload, he’s finding—and sharing—his truth, one beat at a time.
