Punk Racks

Punk Racks is a 17-year-old artist from Alberta, Canada, where he’s lived his entire life. Having just turned 17 last November, he’s already reached a point many artists spend years chasing. His biggest accomplishment so far isn’t a single song or moment—it’s the position he’s in right now, gaining real attention and momentum at a young age. For Punk Racks, that recognition is something he doesn’t take lightly, and he remains genuinely grateful for every listener tapping in.

Looking ahead, Punk Racks’ vision is clear: performing is the end goal. He sees himself rocking stages, igniting mosh pits, and creating high-energy live shows that feel just as intense as the music itself. Beyond performance, he wants to set new trends in both music and fashion, carving out a lane that feels authentic. More importantly, he aims to inspire people while spreading a positive and meaningful message, intentionally pushing against the typical cycles of drugs, sex, and violence that dominate much of today’s scene.

At the core of Punk Racks’ sound is hardcore punk, with Minor Threat standing as his favorite band and biggest influence. He wants his music—and especially his live shows—to match the raw intensity and energy they were known for. His taste spans the punk spectrum, drawing inspiration from bands like Sex Pistols and Blink-182, while also staying tapped into underground artists his own age. He also pays respect to modern influences like Playboi Carti—particularly Carti’s self-titled era—and Lil Uzi Vert, both of whom helped shape his approach to energy and expression.

One of Punk Racks’ biggest challenges has been promotion. Without industry connections, money to “pay to win,” or access to major music hubs, he had to get creative to make noise. Another ongoing struggle is setting up shows, especially with flights being expensive and live opportunities harder to organize from Canada. His current goal is ambitious but focused: to blow up before graduating, so he can fully commit to music without being forced down the traditional college or job path.

Punk Racks’ journey into music started early and organically. As a kid, he used to write lyrics inspired by video game songs, like FNAF tracks, alongside his sister—sparking the thought, “What if I made my own music?” His love for music only grew stronger over time, beginning with Eminem, then evolving into a deep obsession with Twenty One Pilots, memorizing every released and unreleased song and watching every piece of content available. The turning point came when Matt Ox blew up at a young age, showing him that music could be fun, raw, and simple. That shift pulled him away from overly complex lyrical rap and into the underground sound that finally felt natural—and freeing.
