YOBRYY: A “STAR” ON THE RISE

Yobryy is a ‘Man of Steel’ carving his lane in the Midwestern music scene. At just 18, Hammond, Indiana’s Yobryy is already turning heads: his breakout single “Star” has 236.5K streams, and after a 207% spike in Spotify listeners, it’s clear the crowds are starting to lock in.

Raised by Music

“My biggest inspiration has always been my mother, she’s the first person I think of,”Yobryy says. His story begins before he was even born. His mom was making music long before he could talk—or sing—and long after he arrived. “I was always surrounded by music,” he remembers. When she pressed pause on her career to raise her kids, Yobryy decided he’d press play for both of them. “I made it my mission to fulfill her dreams.” influence is sacred to him. After his mom, he credits Onlybino, the artist who shifted and shaped the current makings of his music. “Bino kinda changed the sound I made,” he admits. Listen to his top hits like, “Star” or “U Fancy”, and you’ll hear it: cool-tone, catchy bars laced with melodic riffs and ambitious lyrics that slip between reflection and flex.

Finding His Sound in a Noisy World

“Artists are still regular people,” Yobryy reminds us. “We have feelings and emotions.” His sound lives in between emotion and ambition – that sweet spot where everyday our struggles fuel our dreams. Yobryy is in the works of curating his own style and voice. He’s mutating it into something new and addicting. “I let nothing I struggle with stop me from ending the day being the best person I can be.” Yobryy speaks on finding balance with passion and pressure as if he’s been in thegame for a long time – as a Chi-town-based breakout artist, he’s candid about his efforts to find his own sound in the midst of what we call life.

A Quick Listen: “Star”

His voice comes through smoothly, hooking us in a lyrically catchy flow that exudes a cool hunger you can’t fake. The track feels like late night drives, rooftop city views, and ambition that burns through the crisp Chicago air. Star stays in your head. It feels expensive. It feels like someone who knows exactly where he’s heading, and makes you feel like you do, too.

Where He’s Going

“In five years I’ll be 23,” he says, “I hope I’m really making a name for myself in the music industry. This has been my dream since I was younger than eight.” A decade later, that dream is already taking form, carried by the beats of his mom’s musical influence. It’s a plan in sure motion.

His Message to The Youth

Yobryy’s philosophy and legacy he wants to leave is simple but striking: “Don’t tell people your life plan. They won’t understand it like you do. Stay focused on Plan A—having a Plan B means you don’t believe Plan A will work.” It’s hella raw advice from someone betting everything on himself and already seeing an impressive payout.

The Rise Has Begun

Chicago has its next contender. Yobryy reflects on a milestone: “My biggest accomplishment at the moment is my first show. I didn’t expect it to go that well and I thank God every day for it.” He’s on the brink of something bigger—beyond Hammond, beyond Chicago, beyond the Midwest. One show at a time, Yobryy is young, hungry, and building momentum fast. And if you’re smart, you’ll say you were listening before everyone else catches on.
