BOSSFTR

BOSSFTR is a Chicago artist who turned music from a personal passion into a full-time career. He first started creating because he wanted to make the kind of songs he personally enjoyed listening to, instead of waiting on other people to drop music that fit his taste. What began as something fun eventually became much deeper: an outlet for his emotions, his life experiences, and everything he has had to push through.

Over time, BOSSFTR has built a name for himself through dedication, authenticity, and consistency. Being part of Lyrical Lemonade and performing at Summer Smash have stood as major milestones in his journey, showing how far his work has already taken him. This year, BOSSFTR is set to take another major step forward as he performs at Summer Smash 2026. Still, his story has not been easy. He has dealt with long stretches where nobody believed in him, the loss of his mother, and the daily challenge of staying motivated no matter what life throws at him.

BOSSFTR’s inspiration comes from both personal and cultural influences. His grandma, friends, family, traveling the world, early 2000s music, Cole Bennett, Derrick Rose, Chief Keef, and other Chicago greats have all helped shape his perspective. Through those influences, BOSSFTR brings a sound and story rooted in Chicago, but driven by something bigger: turning real life into music that feels honest, positive, and built to last.
