Fnta! is a 22-year-old artist from Gage Park, Chicago, building his name through passion, persistence, and a deep connection to his roots. His artist name comes from his last name, Fontanez, which people often struggled to pronounce growing up. Instead, they would shorten it to “Fnta,” a nickname that eventually became part of his identity. Now, that name represents more than just a shortened version of his last name, it represents his story, his background, and the world he is creating through music.

Music has been part of Fnta!’s life since he was young. His grandfather and father were both in bands, and being around that musical influence sparked his own passion early on. As a kid, he would constantly ask his parents for recording equipment, and on his 10th birthday, his dad bought him an interface and gear to start creating. From that moment, he never stopped. What began as curiosity turned into a serious dedication to making music and developing his sound.

Over the years, Fnta! has already reached major milestones, including opening up for bigger artists such as Polo G, DC The Don, Dom Corleo, Slayr, and Fourfive. Coming from Chicago has helped shape his hunger, perspective, and work ethic, pushing him to take his art seriously and make every opportunity count. His recording process is rooted in perfectionism, which can be both a strength and a challenge. He knows how much talent he has, but he also battles overthinking, self-criticism, and the pressure of wanting every piece of art to fully reflect what he is capable of.

Looking ahead, Fnta! sees himself in a better place within the next five years, able to support his family through music, leave behind the need for a 9-to-5, go on tour, and see his name on festival lineups. His biggest inspiration is his mother, especially after watching how hard she has worked through difficult times for their family over the last two years. That motivation fuels his desire to go harder, make it through music, and one day repay her by putting his family in a better position. With his project Party in PNK, Fnta! is introducing listeners to his world, one built on emotion, ambition, family, and the drive to turn his dreams into something real.
