Chase Alex

Chase Alex is a New York-born, Chicago-raised artist, producer, and songwriter blending internet-born rap and experimental pop. Emerging from Chicago’s underground as a teenager, he gained local recognition with his SoundCloud release “Pink Shirt,” followed by “Bad Bitch Blues,” which received support from Lyrical Lemonade and Ones To Watch and gained over a million streams.

In 2022, Alex moved to the UK to pursue his education, where he refined his production skills making beats for artists such as 454, Dav1d, and Cityboymoe. Drawing from early R&B, chopped and screwed vocals, indie sleaze, and contemporary internet rap, his evolving sound is built around musical collage and juxtaposition, bringing contrasting genres together through melodic, Auto Tuned vocals.

After six years away from releasing music, Alex returns with a new artistic identity shaped by his experiences across New York, Chicago, and London. His work increasingly explores spirituality and self-discovery, drawing on spiritual practices and imagery. Through music, symbolism, and visual world-building, he documents an ongoing personal journey, balancing experimental production with melodic accessibility somewhere between Drake’s pop instinct and Drain Gang’s internet-born sensibility.

While embracing a more electronic sound, Chase Alex remains rooted in the hip-hop influences that shaped his artistry. As pop and electronic music experience a resurgence, Chase is bringing a fresh perspective to the genre, blending sounds and influences to carve out a lane entirely his own.
