Get To Know ChaseOnTheCase
At 19 years old, Chase “ChaseOnTheCase” Oglesby is already building a name for himself as a creator coming out of Chicago. Chase is from the South Side but spent much of his time growing up throughout the south suburbs, including Homewood, Matteson, Flossmoor and Richton Park. His biggest moment so far came from his Streamer University application, which went viral and reached over 100,000 views across platforms. Chase says that was the moment people really started respecting him as a creator and seeing the vision behind what he was doing. “Every day I was having someone new tell me that they loved my content and they were praying for me to get in,” he said. Even people who hadn’t supported him before started showing love, something Chase still looks at as a blessing.
Looking ahead, Chase sees himself continuing to grow both creatively and academically. In five years, he wants to have earned two or three degrees, be living in Los Angeles and creating content full time while still pursuing school. Beyond content, he wants to have a bigger impact on people, start multiple nonprofits and continue coming up with ideas that push what he can do as a creator. His biggest inspirations start with God, his mom and his dad. He credits his mom as one of the hardest-working people he knows, while his dad helped introduce him to technology, cameras and music at a young age. Creatively, Chase looks up to BruceDropEmOff, Pharrell, CoryXKenshin and Kai Cenat, pulling inspiration from each of them as he continues expanding beyond YouTube and streaming.
More than anything, Chase wants young people watching his journey to know that they are enough. “You’re loved, you’re lovable, you’re capable of being loved; allat,” he said. His message is to not let anyone convince you otherwise and to keep chasing whatever goal you have in front of you. Chase believes that with faith, consistency and putting in the work, things will eventually come together. At only 19, ChaseOnTheCase is still early in his journey, but the goal is already bigger than views or viral moments. He wants to keep growing, keep creating and eventually use the platform he builds to make an impact beyond himself.
